1. What is the difference between Problem Solving Math and Problem Solving Heuristic?
Problem Solving Math are topical lessons aligned with the school syllabus to help students strengthen fundamental knowledge. Problem Solving Heuristic expose students to more challenging questions with different techniques used to tackle questions. This programme is suitable for students who have strong foundation and wish to explore other alternatives in solving questions.
2. Are the techniques taught in Problem Solving Heuristic classes approved by MOE to be used in examinations?
Yes, all the methods taught are allowed to be used to tackle problem sums.
3. My child is currently attending Primary 5 Problem Solving Heuristic classes, which course shall I enroll him/her when this programme ends in Semester 2?
Your child should continue with PSLE A* Achievers Math to prepare for PSLE.
4. Why are there different classes for primary level math?
We group students according to their abilities so that they share the same pace as their classmates. Our worksheets are also specifically-tailored to the abilities of different classes.
5. What is the difference between Syllabus Math and Fusion Math programmes?
Syllabus Math programmes cover topics and questions aligned with the school syllabus. These classes enhance and strengthen students’ problem solving skills. Topics taught in Fusion Math are in line with Math competitions.
6. My child has difficulty coping with Fusion Math, can I transfer him/her to other type of classes?
Yes, your child can attend the syllabus programmes we offer, as long as there is vacancy for the slot you choose.
7. My child’s school is organizing Math training conducted by your centre, however he/she is currently attending classes at your centre. Is there a need for my child to attend the classes in school?
Your child may attend both the centre and school classes, we use different materials to reinforce concepts learnt. Classes at the centre have a lower teacher-student ratio, hence allowing our instructors to better monitor the progress of each student.
